Baptism

At St. Peter Catholic Church, we encourage our parish families to present their newborn infants for the Sacrament of Baptism soon after birth, because this sacrament is the foundation of the Christian life.

In Baptism, the child, freed from original sin, becomes an heir to the Kingdom of God, receiving the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a door which gives the child access to the other sacraments and the life of grace.

Arrangements for Baptism must be made in advance.

The first step to begin the process is to fill out the below Baptismal Request form, even before the child is born. The parish will then reach out and answer any questions.

Once arrangements have begun, please be sure to have qualified potential godparents complete the Godparent Information Form found on the Godparents tab or by clicking HERE.

Due to our full Sunday schedule, baptisms at St. Peter’s are held on Saturdays at 1:00 PM.

There is no cost for the Sacrament of Baptism.
