The Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Protection of Children & Youth (OPCY) was created to assist parishes and schools in their efforts to fulfill the child protection policies of the Archdiocese. The OPCY is responsible for putting forth the requirements that all of us who work or volunteer at the parish must comply with.

These specific requirements are for all those who are volunteering, working with, or interacting with children or youth of the parish. This requirement is for anyone who is 18 and over, whether or not they are a participant in the event, or a designated chaperone or leader.
All those who will be attending events, participating in programs, or interacting with youth in any way must complete the following items to be considered "in compliance" with the OPCY requirements.
Failure to fulfill any of the required documents, forms, or training prior to the event or program, will result in the inability to participate.
