Title: Parish Maintenance Worker

Reports to: Business Manager and Pastor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Pay Range: $17–$22 per hour (based on experience)
 Hours: Part-time, approximately 8 hours per week (flexible schedule)

St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Volo, IL is seeking a reliable and self-motivated Parish Maintenance Worker to help maintain our parish grounds and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our parish community.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

• Assist with groundskeeping, including trimming, snow removal, and seasonal tasks.

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report maintenance needs.

• Support parish staff with setup and takedown for parish events.

• Ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the property.

Qualifications:

• General knowledge of building, mechanical, and/or grounds maintenance.

• Ability to use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
