Mass Intentions are full for 2024.

The custom of requesting that a priest offer Mass for a specific intention is a longstanding tradition within the Church. While most often for the soul of one who is deceased, Masses can also be offered for the intentions of a living person.

Below you will find answers to some common questions, instructions for completing the form, and more.

• Each family may request up to 10 intentions. 3 of those may be a Sunday.
• If you request more than 3 Sunday dates, only the first three will be processed and the following will be added to the next available weekday.
• Please note that on the 1st Sunday of each month, Christmas, & Easter, the Latin Mass is not according to the liturgical books of 1962. It is your responsibility to select dates appropriate to the types of Masses you wish to request..

• Intentions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
• We begin accepting new intentions a few months before the end of the year to give staff time to process them. Patience is appreciated.
• Once your Intentions have been placed on the calendar, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Processing new intentions, particularly upon opening the calendar, can take upwards of one month.

• After completing the contact information portion the first question is How Many Masses? This is the total number of Masses that you are requesting, and you may submit up to 10 Masses per family.
• Please submit all your Masses on one form when possible.
• For each Intention you will select a Preferred Date. If your date is unavailable, we will do our best to place your Intention on a date as close to your preferred one as possible, and we will always assign your Intention to the Mass style of your choosing.
• You will be asked who each Intention is for and who it is by. Intention By is used so we know how to list Intentions in our Bulletin.
  • For example, "John Smith by Joe Johnson" or "John Smith by the Johnson Family".
  • You may leave this blank if you wish to not have a "by" line listed.
• Once your form is properly submitted the system will generate and send you a confirmation e-mail.
  • If you do not receive the e-mail, please check your spam folder.
  • We are not responsible for intentions that are not received! If you have not received an e-mail, we have not received your request.

• A minimum suggested donation of $10 is requested per Mass Intention. Payments may be made via check or cash.
  • Please do not send your payment until AFTER you have received the confirmation of your dates and times.
  • Checks must be made payable to ST. PETER'S. Please mail your payment or place it in the collection basket in an envelope marked Intentions.
• Due to the extremely high volume of demand for intentions at St. Peter's annually, we are unable to offer Novena, Gregorian, and other consecutive Masses.
• We do not accommodate requests to have intentions for Masses where specific priests will be celebrating the Mass.
